| Located just North of Mt. Shasta and South of the Oregon border, the Klamath River is home to a fantastic run of Summer and Winter Steelhead. Fishing for Steelhead is best from mid Oct. thru Feb. Adults range from 3 to 10 pounds, and 15 fish days are not uncommon. In the fall swinging flys can be very productive, if your wanting to try a spey rod, the Klamath in October is the time and place. Winters are warm on the Klamath, and the fish are eager making it a great place to catch your first steelhead. In the spring and summer months the Klamath fishes well for trout and half pounders, adults are also caught and often grab a dry fly. | |||||||||||
